hi pallavi its prashant from vit vellore. surfing the net regarding good coachings which provide correspondence courses for examinations like gate , i came across your blog and found your views valuable.may i know the stream in which you are doing your m.tech program?likewise you mentioned about your experience of being cheated sort by gateforum i would like your advice on the same issue. i just want to know is raghunandan sir’s correspondence course for gate sufficient enough to come out with flying colors or do you suggest some other study material from any other coaching ?my mail id is prashant.vit07@gmail.com. please do reply me soon so that i can benefit from your piece of advice. take care

Hi prashanth,
iam in IIT solely because of raghunandan sir. Correspondence coaching is enough for GATE, but you can sure go to classes, but in today’s traffic and pollution its better to get correspondence course and read at home. Its better in my view.

I am doing 3rd year B.Tech CSE.
1)I would like to work in a good company in the R&D department.(Mostly India)
Doing an MS or M.tech in one of the IITs will suffice?
And which is better for me MS or M.tech. And which field in it.
Or do u suggest any other option.
2)And i am interested in AI and Robotics(Right now i don’t know much about these fields. Just fascinated). Is PG and Job in this field available in India?
3)I think this is the right time to start GATE prep. Can you suggest any correspondence material.
4)Is MS in India equivalent to US M.S?

my self rajib from kolkata,completed be(ece) in 2007,u r correct about gate forum-the quality of their correspondence course is pathetic,only their test series module is good,during my engg graduation,i came in contact with some bright jadavpur univ (JU)students(achintya kundu-air-06-gate-06,avik ray-air-01-gate-07,somsuvro barik-air-20-gate-07,tanumoy dutta-air-03-gate-08,somnath kundu-air-43-gate-08),from them i developed a keen interest in electronics-the way they taught me electronics was truly fantastic,fortunately whatever they taught me,i prepared it into notes & i think if i can truthfully go through it,i will be able to get good rank,…lastly i can only say that to crack gate,study under bright students from elite institutes rather than going to any coaching institutes—for students of kolkata,i would advise them take the help of JU students because they r the best-every year 4rm JU ,5 to 6 students r placed within top-20 in gate,2 years in a row in ECE,1st rank in gate is 4rm JU(avik-gate-07,arpan-gate-08)

I want to do my mtech from IIT. i would like to know if the correspondence material given by Raghunandan sir is enough for gate preparation or do i need to study any other material to get into IIT.

my name is sumit.I live in mumbai.I am looking for coaching classes for GATE 2010,but I can not find any proper class for GATE and also I read your blog about the gateforum therfore I am little bit worry about it.Which crorrespondence course or class do you suggest ?
